Tesla Has Sold Over 11,000 Cybertrucks
Based on data from a recall report issued by the NHTSA, “The recall population includes all Model Year (“MY”) 2024 Cybertruck vehicles manufactured from November 13, 2023, to June 6, 2024.” Elsewhere in the document, it fixes that number at 11,688 units.
How Much Is A Ferrari EV? –$500,000
It is hard to say if the figure is good or bad. It does show demand for Tesla’s first pickup in the market. Pickups are the best-selling vehicles. The Ford F-series, Chevy Silverado, and RAM are often the three top-selling models in the US.
How Much Demand?
On the other hand, there was, at one point, over two years. It is not clear whether that level of demand still exists.
To some extent, the demand for the Cybertruck will be like that of any other EV. Skepticism exists about range, the number of chargers, and price.
The base price of an all-wheel-drive Cybertruck is $76,390. The more expensive Cyberbeast, available at the end of 2025, is $96,390. One question is, will people wait that long?
