Buttigieg told CBS’ “Face the Nation,” “The reality is, the effects of climate change are already upon us in terms of our transportation.” He said the problem was probably permanent and would likely worsen. He did not stop with the climate’s effects on turbulence. He added extreme heat and hurricanes to the list of events that will change the lives of many Americans.

Same Thing Over And Over

Buttigieg is repeating something that has been said hundreds of times before. What he could not offer in his comments were concrete solutions. Even with programs in place, states still need to coordinate a system to address climate catastrophes. The same is true among nations and across industries that have climate-related businesses.

“Our climate is evolving. Our policies and our technology and our infrastructure have to evolve accordingly, too.” ” Buttigieg said. “  He could not go beyond that.
