Six Storms Threaten US, According to Accuweather.
According to Accuweather, six storms are threatening the US. Each could become a tropical storm
Two of these are close to Africa, and moving in the direction of the US coast. One will be close to Cuba early next week. One is likely on its way to Mexico. One is off the East Coast, closer to Virginia. The final one is near the Gulf
Gulf Of Mexico
“There are concerns that this tropical rainstorm could have enough time to evolve into a tropical depression or named tropical storm before pushing onshore along the central Gulf coast late in the week,” said AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva. The primary threat today is rain. However, the storm that is tracking East of Maine could have high winds.
Hurricane Season Is Not Over
One of the characteristics of this year’s Atlantica storm patterns is that the storms are less frequent and less violent than expected. Some of this may be due to water that is colder than expected in the North Atlantic. Hurricane season ends in late November. However, the period for worry is not over.
